Founded in 2017 by architect and designer Godfrey Lam, StudioGlam is an independent architecture and interior design studio devoted to crafting spaces that are imaginative, tactile, and emotionally charged. Every project is a story — one that delights in the unexpected, seduces through detail, and dares to have a little fun.

Educated across three continents — in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom — Godfrey brings a rare combination of academic depth and creative flair. After dual degrees in Art History and Civil Engineering at McGill University, he studied Historic Preservation and Architecture at Columbia University under Bernard Tschumi, then continued his exploration of form and material at UBC with Patricia Patkau.

Before founding StudioGlam, Godfrey spent over two decades in New York, shaping luxury spaces with HOK, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, and the Rockwell Group — leading award-winning projects across Asia and the U.S., from five-star hotels to cultural icons. Those years honed a precision that now meets his instinct for storytelling.

Since its founding, StudioGlam has become known for projects that blur boundaries between design, art, and theatre — from Hotel Indigo Guangzhou’s neon-green audacity to Yuyuan Shanghai’s nostalgic glamour. Each space unfolds as an immersive experience — rhythm, texture, and memory choreographed into a narrative of mood and material.

Godfrey’s earlier credits include the 81st Academy Awards stage, the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Trump Soho New York, and fine dining projects for Alain Ducasse in New York and Washington D.C. However, StudioGlam is his purest expression — a place where intellect meets intuition, where restraint dances with risk, and where every detail whispers character.
